Natalie was born in Reno, Nev. at Saint Mary’s Hospital to Hutch and Natalie Nenzel in 1938, and it was with sadness to say she passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017. Natalie passed peacefully, and pain free at Saint Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, Wash. Natalie was the first born into the family followed by Pamela Dermondy, and Gwendoline Nenzel Silbert. Natalie was blessed with three daughters from her first marriage, Linda, Jeannie, and Beth. Rob was born during Natalie’s second marriage. 1976 was the year that Natalie found her soul mate, Lloyd. Lloyd and Natalie were married for forty incredible years, and they both loved each other with all of their hearts. Lloyd will continue to live in Elma, Wash. where he is surrounded by family that will love and support him.

Natalie loved to travel and collect antiques. Her passion for collecting antiques led to her opening her own antique store, which she operated successfully for five years, until Lloyd accepted a job in Incline Village, and they moved to Kings Beach, Calif. Living at Lake Tahoe was a dream come true for Natalie, and she loved every minute of it. Natalie continued picking and selling antiques for the remainder of her life. Her favorite antique activity was going to auctions hoping to find that elusive treasure. Lloyd retired in the fall of 1997, and without missing a beat the happy couple hit the road with their fifth wheel traveling for two years exploring most of our beautiful country. Having seen all that they wanted, Lloyd and Natalie resettled in Fuita, Colo. near Grand Junction where Delpha, Lloyd’s mother lived. For six years Natalie and Lloyd enjoyed the beauty that Colorado offers, all the while seeing to Delpha’s needs.

In 2005, Natalie and Lloyd picked up and moved to the great Northwest. Unpacking their boxes in Elma, Wash. where Linda and Jeannie and all of their family live. In the final years of Natalie’s satisfying life she continued to dabble in the antique trade, maybe collecting more than selling, filling the house with wonderful bits of history from a time gone by. When not digging through boxes and haggling to get her price, Natalie perfected the art of making Yo Yo Quilts and was known as the “Yo Yo Queen” in the quilting world. Arts and crafts were also a big part of Natalie’s life; she enjoyed creating anything from scrapbooks to embroidering and everything in between. Living in Elma, Natalie enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren boasting a total of 18 grandkids and 23 great-grandkids.

Natalie much-loved the life that Lloyd and she created, they both lived a life full of love for each other that never wavered in the face of conflict or the struggles that come with life. Lloyd was and is the rock that cared so deeply for Natalie. The love they shared for forty years is an example that is becoming rarer and rarer in our culture, but through good times and bad they found a way to prove that they were meant to be together for life.

Natalie led a full life, from riding in hot air balloons, or singing with The Reno Civic Choir she was able to do and see things that most people never have the chance. Natalie’s life was blessed by all of her friends and family, she always said she was eternally grateful to have the family that God had provided, and that without the love and support from those who care she would have never felt complete. Natalie will forever live in our hearts and memories for generations to come, she will be missed dearly especially by Lloyd. Please pray for Lloyd in his time of mourning, as well as all of Natalie’s friends and all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, including all family members and their loved ones. Goodbye Natalie, we will always love you.
