We are saddened to announce that Marian Eileen Pajala (commonly known as Eileen), age 88, of Elma, Wash., passed away at her home in Elma on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.

Eileen was born on May 27, 1930. She was born and raised in Elma, Wash.

She is predeceased by her parents; Marion and Maude Sargent, her siblings and her husband Arvo Pajala. Eileen is survived by her two daughters Linda and Lori, their husbands and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eileen married the love of her life, Arvo Pajala on March 27, 1951. The couple spent their lives together in Elma, Wash., where they raised their two children; Linda and Lori.

Eileen was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Eileen loved holidays and get-togethers with her family. The grandkids looked forward to her cooking growing up and she always made really good desserts for the holidays.

Eileen was very devoted to her church and church family. She loved the Lord and He was a very important part of her life. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Family and friends gathered at the Church of God in Elma on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at 1 p.m. for her funeral. Interment followed at the Satsop Cemetery for a graveside service.
