Gordon was born on July 13, 1937, the second of five children of Archie and Mildred Damitio. He graduated from Elma High in 1955 and attended St. Martin’s College.

Since the early 60s, Gordon made his home in Hawaii where he pursued a career in finance and banking. He died in Kaneohe on March 10, 2018.

Gordon is survived by his son, Sean (Tracy), three grandchildren, siblings Gerald (Dolores), Mary Anne Gosney, and Alice Chance (Bill), and many cousins, nieces and nephews. His wife, Thelma and brother, predeceased him.
