Sheriff’s Office seeks public’s help in string of copper thefts from county PUD substations

Five substations in the county have been hit over the past few weeks

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of copper thefts from Grays Harbor PUD substations and is asking for the public’s input as they search for suspects.

Brittany Diggle with the Sheriff’s Office spread the word about the thefts in hopes residents near county substations will report suspicious people or activities around them.

The following locations were hit: Harding Road substation, Westport Road, Aberdeen; Little River substation, 92 Highway 101, Hoquiam (formerly known as Mayr Bros); Promised Land substation, 3940 Highway 101, Humptulips; East Hoquiam substation, 2829 East Hoquiam Road, Hoquiam; and Bernard Creek substation, 393 Highway 101, Hoquiam.
