Bo Griffith Memorial Gymnasium packed to the rafters with family, friends

Bo Griffith Memorial Gymnasium was packed to the rafters Sunday afternoon as the masses gathered to celebrate the graduation of the Montesano High School Class of 2018.

More than 100 graduates were honored in a class that featured five valedictorians and three salutatorians. Delivering the valedictorian address to the class was Kaydee Mittleider; the salutatorian address was delivered by Rachel Ayres.

Principal Alec Pugh offered words of encouragement to the graduates before handing out diploma sleeves; the diplomas and other items such as scholarship awards were handed out after the ceremony.

After the maroon and gray balloons hit the ground and tassels were moved, the students filed out the north entrance of the gym to gather with friends and family.
