Montesano budget meetings set, copies available for review

First meeting is Nov. 12.

The Montesano Council will hold preliminary 2020 budget hearings to receive comments, suggestions and recommendations from the public beginning Nov. 12.

“The primary purpose of the hearing is to consider the 2020 Preliminary Budget revenues, expenditure as well as the information provided as to the figures upon which the annual ad valorem to be imposed upon real property within the City,” a release from Montesano CFO and Clerk Arnel Blancas states.

There will be three public meetings — all beginning at 7 p.m. — in in totals. The meeting dates are Nov. 12, Nov. 26 and Dec. 10. The meetings will take place in the council chambers at City Hall.

“The City Council reserves the right to take such action on the matter, including the adoption or the making of final recommendations thereon as may be allowed by law upon completion of the hearing,” the release states.
