A 24-year-old Hoquiam woman was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital for injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on U.S. Highway 12 near Montesano on Sunday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The driver lost control of her 2007 Suzuki VS800 motorcycle on westbound U.S. 12 about a half mile east of Montesano shortly before midnight, according to the State Patrol. The motorcycle struck the cable barrier and came to rest in the right lane, which was blocked for more than an hour. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
