Hands-on-Health leads gift giving effort for about 30 families

Dr. Kyna Wilson said she remembers her mother running similar gift-giving efforts through her day care in Aberdeen and that this year, there was increased interest from the community in wanting to help.

About 30 families in Grays Harbor County, or about 150 people, had a merrier Christmas this year thanks to the generosity of many in the community.

Hands-on-Health Chiropractic in Montesano organized the effort. Dr. Kyna Wilson, who runs the practice, said she remembers her mother running similar gift-giving efforts through her day care in Aberdeen and that this year, there was increased interest from the community in wanting to help.

“Last year, we had 13 families,” Wilson said. “This year is the first year we’ve formatted it like a giving tree, taking applications from the community and asking people to adopt families.”

Multiple businesses and people lent a hand.

“I’m really thankful for all of our volunteers,” Wilson said. “We’ve had tons of volunteers who have helped.”

HOH has been in Montesano for eight years.
