Aug. 5

Trespassing. 800 block W. Main St. 7:12 a.m. Male seen in residence when no one is supposed to be there. Friend is house-sitting and watching the dog.

Suspicious person/circumstance. 500 block N. 12 St. 7:39 a.m. Check of abandoned residence — noise heard by neighbor. No sign of entry to building and no movement heard.

Lost property. Elma Police Station. 10:09 a.m. Wallet lost between home and Thriftway. Described as brown bi-fold. Cards cancelled.

Aug. 6

Subject stop/field interview. Railroad tracks at Highway 12. 9:19 a.m. Subject given verbal warning for walking on the tracks.

Violation of court order. N. Third and W. Young streets. 11:14 a.m. Subject working booth at car show was said to be in violation of 500-foot range of residence. Upon checking maps, was found to be outside of range at 505 feet.

Suspicious person/circumstance. 600 block E. Main St. 2:58 p.m. Male subject putting needles in garbage can. Known subject did have needles in bag but none in garbage. Was at location for a medical issue.

Juvenile problem. 1300 block Waldrip St. 4:19 p.m. Neighbors hitting whiffle balls off side of residence. Asked them to stop but they continue. Juveniles contacted and they said they didn’t know they were causing a problem. They will be more careful and not hit the house anymore.

Animal problem. 100 block Pine St. 5:54 p.m. Missing Maltese with pink collar and tag. Lulu escaped from fenced yard.

Suspicious person/circumstance. 300 block S. 7 St. 7:38 p.m. Car parked near dumpster and has been there a long time. Checked area and unable to locate.

Aug. 7

Parking problem. 1500 block W. Main St. 11:22 a.m. White truck parked overnight. Attempted contact with trucking company. Vehicle departed a short time later.

Assault. 400 block Oakhurst Drive. 2:54 p.m. Subject grabbed arm and twisted it. Advised subject it was not okay to put hands on anyone else including caregiver. He agreed.

Aug. 8

Subject stop/field interview. 500 block E. Young. 1:07 a.m. Known subject riding bike, attempting to duck out. Upon contact, subject said he thought officer was a different officer and was “tired of being harassed” so tried to avoid.

Theft from vehicle. 200 block W. Anderson. 2:53 p.m. Theft occurred overnight. Various items missing totaling about $235 in value.

Aug. 9

Animal problem. 1200 block Wakefield St. 10:20 a.m. Black dog let out of home rushed at reporting party and tried to bite. Reporting party hit dog with his cane. Dog is back in residence.

Suspicious person/circumstance. Tenth Street Park. 10:22 p.m. Made contact with two subjects who were looking for a Pokémon gym. Advised the park closes at dusk.

Aug. 10

Found property. 700 block E. Main St. 2:20 p.m. Found credit card. Contacted owner who advised okay to destroy.

Agency assist. 300 block Wenzel Slough. 5:44 p.m. GHCSO requesting assistance with cow stuck in the Chehalis River. Upon arrival, cow had freed itself.

Disorderly conduct. 600 block E. Main St. 7:19 p.m. Combative patient in lobby. Upon arrival, subject was laying on ground, crying. Staff calmed person and they were admitted into the emergency room.
