County assessor’s tax pages crash

UPDATE: The system is working again.

UPDATE (9:30 a.m. Nov. 7): The server has been replaced and taxsifter and mapsifter are back up and running.

The website that hosts the county’s property tax and assessment information crashed Tuesday.

Grays Harbor Assessor Dan Lindgren said the crash affected counties across the state that use the taxsifter and mapsifter system.

“All of the assessment and tax data is safe but the server that hosts our public website is currently down,” Lindgren said in an email. “Thomson Reuters, our software vendor is diligently working to replace the damaged server and get these sites back up and functioning as quickly as they can.”

He does not know how long the outage will last.

“We know how important this information is to you. We work hard to provide as much data to the public as we can but unfortunately, even technology sometimes can break,” Lindgren wrote. “Be assured that this issue is our top priority right now and that every effort is being made to get this fixed.”
