Connections fighting child abuse

Fleet Park effort will raise awareness for prevention of abuse and trauma.

Hundreds of pinwheels are about to take over Fleet Park.

Montesano’s Connections will place the toys, which look like miniature blue windmills, in the park to bring awareness to childhood abuse and trauma.

Connections, which used to be known as the Children’s Advocacy Center of Grays Harbor, is planting what they’re calling a “Pinwheel Garden” from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. April 22 in the Montesano park.
