Results and pictures from the 2016 Grays Harbor Youth Livestock Auction

The auction sales and donations for the 2016 Grays Harbor Youth Livestock Auction totaled $142,132.9, as of Aug. 15, said auction officials.

The large livestock sales included four steers with an average weight of 1,232 pounds sold at $4.13 per pound; 12 lambs with an average weight of 142 pounds sold at $5.19 per pound; 53 hogs with an average weight of 267 pounds sold at $4.85 per pound and 1 goat with a weight of 103 pounds sold at $10 per pound.

4-H Grand Champion Steer exhibited by Alex Marshall of Barnyard Wranglers 4-H and purchased by Ocean Spray Cranberries for $5.50 per pound.

4-H Grand Champion Goat exhibited by Evan Werner of Critter Crew 4-H and purchased by Werner Portraits for $10 per pound.

4-H Grand Champion Lamb exhibited by Abby Fritts of Critter Crew 4-H and purchased by Les Schwab Tire Center of Aberdeen (Heron Street) for $5.50 per pound.

FFA Grand Champion Lamb exhibited by Hannah Hartley of Elma FFA and purchased by Les Schwab Tire Center of Elma for $7.75 per pound.

4-H Grand Champion Hog exhibited by Haley Brown of Country Pride 4-H and purchased by Les Schwab Tire Center of Elma for $6.75 per pound.

FFA Grand Champion Hog exhibited by Paige Kershaw of Elma FFA and purchased by Murphy Co., for $7.25 per pound.
