March 25

Shop lift. 100 block W. Brumfield Ave. 6:58 a.m. Officer was contracted by Monte Square in reference to a shop lift that took place early morning at just after midnight. Teenaged male came into station and got a couple bags of chips and some candy and stood at ice cream bin. When another patron left the store the subject ran outside without paying and jumped in a dark-colored sedan and left. Suspect was wearing jeans, sweatshirt and a brown and white stocking hat with ear tails hanging down. Officer observed video of the subject, but unable to identify.

March 29

Agency assist. 200 block N. Main St. 5:13 a.m. Officer assisted Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office and Montesano Fire Department with chimney fire.

Intoxicated in public. 200 block N. River St. 11:17 p.m. Reporting party advised subject is intoxicated at location and trying to get in a vehicle and drive. Officer contacted subject who was very intoxicated, highly agitated and argumentative. Nothing physical had occurred. Subject was given a transport to residence to go to sleep.

Illegal burn. 400 block W. Pioneer AVe. 11:06 a.m. Officer was on another call when the illegal burning call was given. Fire Department made contact and homeowner reportedly extinguished the burning material.
