The annual Bringing in the Yule Log and Christmas Sing-a-Long event is scheduled to be held Sunday, Dec. 10, at Schafer State Park. The park is located at 1365 West Schafer Park Road in Elma.

Children will hunt in the park during the event for a special log, and everyone will cooperate in pulling it back to a campfire spot. This will be followed by a potluck lunch, beverages, cookies, a warm fire, and Christmas music.

This annual event is sponsored by Friends of Schafer and Lake Sylvia State Parks (FOSLS) and the state park staff.

The public is invited. Please bring your favorite dish or some cookies to share.

A Discover Pass will be required for entry and will be available at the park.
