• Schafer Meadows Fiber Arts Guild holds a monthly meeting the second Wednesday of each month, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Elma., Discuss fiber arts of all kinds – crocheting, knitting, weaving, embroidery, spinning and more. Bring a dish to pass. A potluck lunch will be held at noon. Open to the public.

At the libraries

• Elma Timberland Library presents family storytimes Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. from Sept. 6-Dec. 13. Music, movement, books and crafts for the whole family. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

• The Montesano Kiwanis Club will sponsor the annual scholarship spaghetti feed fundraiser, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Methodist Church. Adults are $7, families $25.

• Benefit concert for Revival of Grays Harbor at 7 p.m. at Aberdeen First United Methodist Church. Performances by Outta Monte, the Salmonberry Ukulele Band, Ken Albert, Karen Davison, Ben Fagerstedt, Jordan Fry, Lindsi Fry, Christine Hill, Shawn Hill, Laura Jones, Peggy Messenger, Gordon Schnee and Laurie Yeoman. Admission is free, and an offerring will be collected at intermission for Revival of Grays Harbor.

Entertainment

• Silver screen legends Boris Karloff and Elsa Lanchester bring to life one of early Hollywood’s classic horror movies, “Bride of Frankenstein” at 7th Street Theatre in Hoquaim. The movie begins at 7:30 p.m. Also on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m.

• The Elma Chamber of Commerce will host a “meet the candidates” luncheon at noon at Stay Beyond Inn & Suites (800 E. Main St.) conference center in Elma. Candidates expected to attened are running for Grays Harbor County Treasurer, Elma City Council, Hospital District 1, Fire District 5 and Elma School Distirct. Rick Boyer from Purina Animal Nutrition will be available to discuss the new gastric support feed and supplements and their other equine products. Crafts, pictures, games and prizes.
