• Pool table open to seniors at the Elma Senior Center, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

• Bingo is held at the Elma Senior Center on the second and fourth Thursdays.

• Sewing at the Elma Senior Center, 9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

• Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support group meetings held every third Tuesday, 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen (420 N. Broadway St.). For information call Helen Morning Star, (360) 533-2277.

• The Grays Harbor ACLU meets the third Wednesday of every month for a potluck at 6 p.m. at Events on Emerson (212 4th St. in Hoquiam).

• Olympic Area Agency on Aging presents every third Thursday of the month Family Caregivers Support Group. 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (1296 Monte Elma Rd. in Elma). For more information call (360) 538-2458.

• Schafer Meadows Fiber Arts Guild holds a monthly meeting the second Wednesday of each month, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Elma. Bring a dish to pass. A potluck lunch will be held at noon. Open to the public.

• TOPS Club, Inc. WA 1522 has private weigh-in from 6 p.m.-6:30 p.m. every Thursday in the forestry meeting room at 310 W. Spruce Ave. (on the second floor). Meetings follow at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. For more information call (360) 581-3835.

At the libraries

• Elma Timberland Library presents family storytime Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. from Sept. 6-Dec. 13. Music, movement, books and crafts for the whole family. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Bilingual storytime is on Thursdays at 4 p.m. through Nov. 16.

• Montesano Timberland Library will host play groups on Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to noon, December 1-29. Songs, stories, and play for children birth to 6 years with a participating adult. Arrival and departure times are flexible.

• The Elma Timberland Library will be closed from Tuesday, November 28 through Saturday, December 16 for new carpeting. The library plans to reopen Tuesday, December 19.

Thursday, Nov. 16

At the libraries

• Montesano Timberland Library presents PageTurners Book Discussion, 6:30-8 p.m. for adults. Join others for a discussion of “The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat” by Edward Kelsey Moore. The library will be closed at this time and no other library services will be available.

• James Mitchell will perform at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino at 6 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 17

Entertainment

• Aberdeen Driftwood Players will be holding performances of the production “Nuncrackers.” The first performance is on Nov. 17. Other performances are Nov. 18, 24, 25 and 26 and Dec. 1, 2 and 3. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday performances being at 1:30 p.m. The theater is located at 120 E. 3rd St. in Aberdeen.

• Montesano Junior/Senior High School Drama Club will present a trio of one-act plays in the school commons at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door. Also on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.

• The Montesano Junior/Senior High School Drama Club will present a trio of one-act plays in the school commons on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. and again on Sunday, November 19 at 2 p.m.. Tickets are $5 at the door. The trio consists of “Not-so-Grimm Tales,” “Louder, I Can’t Hear You,” and “Dancing with the Olympians.”

• The Brothers Rowe perform Nov. 17 and 18 at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino at 9 p.m.

• Elma Senior Center will host a bazaar at 9 a.m.

• The Willapa Harbor Chamber of Commerce will host a Country Christmas Craft Fair 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the South Bend Community Center, 916 W. First St. in South Bend.

• Grays Harbor/Pacific County Pomona will beet at East Oakville Grange (at the corner or Harris and Temple avenues in Oakville) at 10 a.m. A potluck will follow at noon. For more information call (360) 249-5350.

• The Elma Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1440 will host a free Thanksgiving dinner, open to the public, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Elma is at 404 W. Young St.

• Pie auction at 11 a.m. at the Elma Senior Center.

• Kurt Lindsay will perform at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino at 6 p.m.

• Thanksgiving day. The Vidette office will be closed for Thanksgiving Day.

Friday, Nov. 24

• Visit a state park for free. During free days, visitors will not need a Discover Pass for vehicle access.

• Easy Rider Brotherhood performs at 9 p.m. at on Nov. 24 and 25 at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino.
