Bring a dish to pass. A potluck lunch will be held at noon. Open to the public.

• The American Red Cross and Sports Clips Haircuts present free hair cuts for those who donate blood or platelets with the American Red Cross Sept. 1-30. Participants will receive a coupon for a free hair cut via email. Coupon valid through Nov. 11, 2017. Donors urged to make an appointment at redcrossblood.org. The American Red Cross will be in Montesano Sept. 12, 1:30-7 p.m. at Assembly of God, 125 S. Sylvia St.

At the libraries

• Elma Timberland Library presents Tech Toys for Adults, 2-4 p.m. for adults. Play with a 3D pen, Makey Makey, Osmo and robots Dot and Dash. Results for adult Summer Reading and prizes.

• 7th Street Theatre in Hoquiam presents “Rio Bravo (1959)” at 7:30 p.m. and again on Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $6.

• McCleary Timberland Library presents Saturday Matinees, 1-3 p.m. for all ages. Movies at the library on the big screen, popcorn will be provided. Bring a pillow and bottled water.

• All Timberland Regional Libraries will be closed in observance of Labor Day. Libraries will resume regular hours Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Meetings

• Bible Study Outreach will resume classes, 9:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Elma. The hour and a half study will be in the Book of Colossians. Everyone Welcome. For questions call 360-249-4827.

Events

• Our Community Credit Union presents a free community paper shredding event, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Montesano (212 E. Pioneer Ave., Suite B) and Elma (306 S. 7th St.) branch locations. Safely destroy documents containing sensitive and personal information courtesy of LeMay, a professional document destruction service. Canned non-perishable food item donations are welcomed.

• Dance Club of Grays Harbor presents a dance to be held at the Hoquiam Elks, 624 K St. A free Salsa lesson will be offered from 7-8 p.m. and Casanova will be playing 8 p.m.- 10:30 p.m. $9 per person for members, $12 per person for non-members. Dance Club dues are $20 per person. Tuxedo raffle tickets are now on sale with the drawing to be held Oct. 21 and Grays Harbor College is now accepting registrations for Salsa dance classes beginning Oct. 4. • The 8th Annual Lake Sylvia Fall Festival will take place at Lake Sylvia State Park in Montesano, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Camp pancake breakfast, Music in the Park, Kid’s games and races, artists’ market, food vendors, history talks, Boy Scout cooking demonstrations, kid’s nature art and a group paddle with kayaks at 2 p.m. Bring your own kayak or borrow one from the park at no cost on a first come first serve basis.
