‘Anything Goes’ opens two-weekend run at the Bishop Center

The Bishop Center at Grays Harbor College presents the popular musical “Anything Goes.”

This show is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s magical scores.

The story centers around madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy No.13 Moonface Martin aid Billy in his quest to win over Hope.

The musical introduced such songs as “Anything Goes”, “You’re the Top”, and “I Get a Kick Out of You.”

The production features six shows and runs two consecutive weekends beginning Friday, March 3. The curtain rises for the evening performances at 7:30 p.m., and at 2 p.m. for the Sunday matinees.

Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors $20, $12 for students and $8 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased online at the Bishop Center website.
