Faith Lutheran Church of Elma held their annual garage sale on June 28 and 29. All items were sold on a donation basis and 100 percent of those funds raised will go to the East County Christmas for Kids foundation. This year the sale raised more than $2,000.

This letter goes out with a big “Thank You” to those who attended the garage sale and supported this great cause through their donations. Your generosity will make a huge difference for our local children during the Christmas season. The money raised will buy coats, hooded sweatshirts and warm clothing for children in need. Through the generosity of local businesses, toys and games are also donated. A few weeks before Christmas, all gifts are wrapped and bagged at Faith Lutheran Church ready to be handed out to kids in need.

Our community is a great place to live. Thank you again for your support. You are making a difference in the lives of the East County children.
