The rodeo highlights the 4th of July festivities in Oakville.

Oakville celebrates old fashioned 4th of July Patriotism will be on display in Oakville on on the Saturday nearest to July 4. Activities range from a traditional parade to a rodeo. Dave Palmer, a volunteer with the Oakville Chamber of Commerce, said the theme for 2002's parade was "Honoring Our Heritage," a patriotic theme allowing groups to "come in and show patriotism" to their country.
