The Vidette is East Grays Harbor County's primary
legal publication. The Harbor's source of weekly community news
since 1883, the Vidette also carries public notices and
public record for the towns of Montesano, Elma and McCleary.
The average age of Vidette readers is 35-55, with half the subscribers
in East County, and 20 percent in Aberdeen and Hoquiam. Circulation
is now at 3,700, with subscriptions growing, and papers average
two to four readers per paper. Here's how you can spread your
advertising message in the Vidette:
Advertising Rates
Open rate = $8.25 per column inch
Open special section rate = $8.25 per column inch
(10 percent discount on rerun ads)
Color Rates
Full color = $200
Two colors = $150
One color = $75
Contract Rates
13-week contract = $6.25 per column inch
52 consecutive week contract = $5.50 per column inch. (Ads must
be 2 column x 3 inches or larger)
52 consecutive week full page contract: $4.00 per column inch
Classified Rates
Classified ads cost $5 for the first 15 words and
10 cents per word after.
If a classified ad is run three consecutive weeks, the fourth
week is free.
Classifieds for lost or found animals or personal items are free,
but only allowed to run once.
Boxed classifieds cost an additional $2.50 per week.
Classified Display ads: Open rate is $5.25 per column inch.
Legal Notices
Open rate for legal notices is $8.25 per column inch,
$7.75 e-mailed. Call for more details, 360-249-3311.
Cards of Thanks with no picture,
just art, cost $5 per column inch.
Birthday or other personal messages
with pictures cost $5.00 per column inch.
Deadline for advertisements is noon Tuesday
for Thursday publication.
Ads sent electronically with photos should be set at 200 resolution
pdf format.
