• The regional meeting of the Washington Coast Sustainable Salmon Partnership will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grays Harbor PUD, 2720 Sumner. The regular monthly meeting is open to the public. • A boater education course will be offered from 6-9 p.m. each night in the upstairs community room at Aberdeen High School, 410 N. G St. The class is offered through the Aberdeen School District and the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office. There is no charge to attend, but the boater education card is $10, and is required as of Jan. 1, 2010 for all boat operators between the ages of 12 and 30, operating a motorboat of 15 horsepower or greater. All boaters born on or after Jan. 1, 1955, will be required to have a card by 2014; those born before the date are exempt from the law. The card is good for a lifetime. The Adventures in Boating Washington, A Course on Responsible Boating manual and exam will be provided at the class. • “Secrets From the Sea,” a lecture by Gene Woodwick of the Ocean Shores Interpretive Center, will take place from 3-5 p.m. at Westport Winery. Participants will learn more about beachcombing including everything from sand dollars to agates. There is no cost to attend; all ages are invited. • Labor of Love Community Outreach Clothing Bank is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays, and is located at 207 N. 3rd St. The bank is looking for donations of winter clothing, blankets, baby items, gloves, knitted caps, men’s’ socks, jeans, shorts, shoes and backpacks. Monetary donations are also accepted for special individual needs in the community.

• Fire District #13 will host its annual Hunters Breakfast from 6 a.m. to noon at the Bucks Prairie Fire Hall, 13 miles out the Cloquallum Road. The breakfast will feature all you can eat biscuits and gravy, pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham, hash browns, juice and coffee. Cost is $6.50 per adult, $3.50 per child and children under 5 are free.

• A gun and knife show will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The show will feature buying, selling and trading of guns, knives, camping, fishing and hunting items.

• A haunted barn will take place from 6-9 p.m. The event, sponsored by the fairgrounds, Elma Class of 2012 Boosters and Sunny 102.1, costs $6 per person or $5 if two non-perishable food items are donated.

• Autism 202: Day-to-Day Functions, a video conference, will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. in room 5/6 in the Business building at Hoquiam High School. • The McCleary School District will offer a free developmental screening for children between the ages of birth to 5. The screening will help identify children who may be in need of early intervention services such as speech/language, therapy, occupational therapy or additional assistance. The screening will take approximately 30-45 minutes. • The Alzheimer’s Association Support Group will host a free public viewing of Part 1: The Memory Loss Tapes at 7 p.m. at Schafer Hall in the Montesano Methodist Church, 401 E. Spruce Ave. The video will provide an overview of Alzheimer’s and its progression as it looks at the lives of seven people with the disease. The running time is approximately 85 minutes. • The Friends of the W.H. Abel Memorial Timberland Library will host Lunch for Your Brains — Motorcycling in South Africa, from noon to 1 p.m. The Friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. before the program. Dave and Ellen Foscue will share their adventures and slides from a motorcycle trip in Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa. There is no cost to attend.

• The Grays Harbor Community Hospital M.A.S.H. Relay For Life Team will host its first annual family barn dance from 7-10 p.m. at the Wynooche Wildwood banquet hall.
