• The McCleary School Board invites all members of the McCleary community to a meeting at 6:30 p.m. at McCleary School to address the school’s strengths, as well as areas where improvement is needed. A team developing a strategic plan for the days ahead will use the community’s input in forming that plan and making recommendations to the school board.
Thursdays, through Sept. 3
• Arts and crafts will take place in the covered picnic area of the McCleary Park for children ages 5-8 from 1-2 p.m.; children 9-12 from 2-3 p.m., and teens from 3-4 p.m. All materials will be supplied, however it can be messy; students should come in clothes that can get paint on them. Crafts will feature painting, bead creations, mosaics, foam art, crepe paper creations and others. Teen and adult volunteers are welcome; there is no charge to attend.

• The Mark Reed Foundation Board will meet at 6 p.m. at the hospital, 322 S. Birch St. The meeting is open to the public to learn about the mission and activities of the foundation.
