PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Grays Harbor County Board of Commissioners on Monday, December 14, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioner's Meeting Room, Grays Harbor County Administration Building, 100 W. Broadway, Suite 1, Montesano, WA.
  The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from low- and moderate-income persons and persons residing in the Grays Harbor County area.
  Up to $165,743 will be available to the Grays Harbor County and the Coastal Community Action Program to fund public service activities that principally benefit low- and moderate- income persons.
  The draft application for the proposal for the Public Services Grant proposal will be available for review at the Grays Harbor Management Services Department,  Administration Building, 100 W. Broadway, Suite 32, Montesano, WA.  Comments may also be submitted in writing to Rose Elway, Management Services, P.O. Box 790, Montesano, WA 98563.
  Comments on the county's and Coastal Community Action Agency's past performance and use of their 2008 CDBG Public Service Grant awards will also be received.

NOTICE:  CEDAR SALVAGE - GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY

  Notice is hereby given that on December 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., lump sum sealed bids, on forms provided therefore and clearly marked, will be received by an authorized representative of Grays Harbor County, in room 211, 2nd floor, Forestry Building, 310 W. Spruce, Montesano, Washington for the purchase of an undetermined amount of cedar salvage situated within the boundaries of a recently completed harvest unit.
  The minimum acceptable bid for the cedar salvage to be sold hereunder shall be: $8,000.00
  On or before December 21, 2009, by not later than 10:00 a.m., each prospective purchaser must submit their sealed bid, on a form provided for that purpose, in the full amount in the form of cash or certified check, enclosed in a sealed bid envelope also provided.  Upon award of the Sale, the respective bids shall be returned to the unsuccessful bidders.  Purchaser must also furnish within 10 days of date of sale; a surety bond or cash bond in the amount of 25% of the purchase price to guarantee compliance with all terms of the contract prepared for this sale.  All checks are to be made payable to the Treasurer of Grays Harbor County.
  The cedar salvage is situated: in the NE 1/4 of Section 34, T17N, R10W WM.
  The purchaser shall have until March 14, 2010 to remove the salvage sold hereunder.
  Further information concerning this sale, including sample contract, necessary forms for submitting a bid, timber sale maps, slash requirements, and road use specifications, etc., is available upon request from the Grays Harbor County Forestry Dept. Office, 310 W. Spruce St., Ste. 100, Montesano, WA.  (360) 249-5071.  All prospective bidders are encouraged to obtain this information and inspect the timber sale area on the ground prior to bidding.

SYNOPSIS OF ORDINANCE NO. 1532
  AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO GOVERNMENTAL OPERATION; AMENDING SECTION 6.04.180, M.M.C. & SECTION XVIII OF ORDINANCE 946, AS LAST AMENDED BY SECTION XVIII OF ORDINANCE 1441; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR TRANSITION.
  On the 24th day of November, 2009, the City Council of the City of Montesano adopted Ordinance Number 1534. The intent and purpose of the Ordinance was adopt certain provisions creating options in relation to the billing and collection for the provision of solid waste disposal services. A methodology for enforcement of the mandatory solid waste collection provisions of the code was set out. It also provided for the combination of the water, sewer, and solid waste disposal utilities for purposes maintenance and operation.
